Products/By Product/Placemats

These traditional Cluny Lace products are made on the famous Leavers Lace machine, which was invented in Nottingham, England in 1814.  There are more than 40 ,000 moving parts on the machine which weighs 15 tonnes and twists 10,000 threads simultaneously to make this beautiful and intricate lace.

Many of these patterns were designed for the lace machine towards the end of the last century by ancestors of the Mason family.  This is the only company in the world which produces these exclusive designs.  Now into the ninth generation, Charles Mason continues to manufacture these beautiful cloths which would grace any room around the world.
